It’s a good question.
It’s a bit like asking, why pay $6 for a barista-made coffee when you can use instant? Sure, it’s coffee, and it can give you a caffeine hit. It’s quick, it’s cheap, and it does the job. Well, a job, anyway. But it’s not the same, is it?
Find me a good barista who doesn’t love great coffee. It’s passion. There’s care, craft, and quality. It’s about giving someone a great experience, so they’ll come back again. It’s a human touch. Or in the case of writing, a human voice.

So am I saying I’m a barista of copywriting? Kind of, yes.

So what’s my story?
I’m a highly awarded Copywriter and Creative Director with three decades of experience. Working in big and boutique agencies in Sydney and Perth, before founding Kiosk with Adam Cannell, I’ve written for clients across all sectors and sizes. From local start-ups to famous multinational brands, I’ve created highly effective and engaging comms in almost every form of media.

WHAT’S THE COST?
Firstly, I don’t like to call it a cost. When writing is done well, it should give you a healthy return on investment. Every client, project or piece of collateral is different. So I have two simple ways of pricing.
CUSTOMISED QUOTE FOR ITEM OR PROJECT
After a short chat, I can get a good sense of your requirements and can give you a quote with a detailed breakdown. This is usually based on head hours. And I’m always happy to work within your budget.
MONTHLY RETAINER
Often campaigns are ongoing, and social media, blogs, and websites need regular updates. So a monthly retainer can make good sense. Once a scope of requirements is established, we can agree on a retainer that works for both you and us.
